RICHMOND, VA (9/16/2014) – Two North Carolina school districts have selected K12 Enterprise, Microsoft’s leading financial and human resource management software for K-12 school systems.

The Montgomery and Rowan-Salisbury School Districts are participants in K12 Enterprise’s Early Adopter Program, in which districts that had been using the company’s SunPac software opt to migrate to the modern, Microsoft Windows-based accounting and business management solution that will help them achieve a higher degree of efficient, streamlined business operations. These early adopters are playing a pivotal role in validating the software to ensure that the system addresses the needs of the North Carolina community. In the process the districts are benefiting from the enhanced functionality of the K-12 Enterprise product.

Tara Trexler, Finance Officer of Rowan-Salisbury School District, said, “The increased functionality and enhanced efficiencies for processing and extracting information are the two big motivators for upgrading our software. Our entire school system is in the process of undergoing a digital transformation including a 1:1 digital learning device for every student and laptops for every teacher. Our support services should also reflect this digital transformation in our system. After seeing previews of the system and discussions with K12 Enterprise, we are very excited to begin the upgrade process.”

“We’re pleased to take on new customers in North Carolina,” said K12 Enterprise’s Chief Executive Officer Jeremy Fass. “By leveraging these users’ knowledge and feedback, we’re confident we’ll provide a comprehensive system that is capable of meeting the diverse needs of our entire LEA community.”
