RICHMOND, VA (6/13/2013) – K12 Enterprise has taken another important step toward better serving its clients in North Carolina.
The financial and human resources management software solution recently passed its benchmark with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (DPI) to ensure the software meets all of the department’s standards and requirements to serve the state’s Local Education Agencies (LEAs).
“Thanks to the in-depth knowledge and hard work of our K12 Enterprise team, we were very prepared going into the benchmarking process,” said Jeremy Fass, CEO of K12 Enterprise. “Our team knows the requirements of North Carolina about as well as any team could. We had a very concentrated effort going into this, and it showed in our performance.”
It is required for payroll and accounting software packages used by any of North Carolina’s 115 school systems and 108 charter schools to meet the state’s Uniform Education Reporting Specifications (UERS) and ensure that all necessary data and information is properly transmitted to DPI each month.
With the benchmarking met successfully, K12 Enterprise is ready to move forward with its Early Adopter Program, which allows participants the opportunity to migrate to the modern, Microsoft Windows-based accounting and business management solution.
The first two LEAs, Ashe County and Bladen County, will begin implementation this summer. In their pioneering role, these LEAs will have influence on the user interface and functionality of the product, receive substantial support and obtain preferred software and service costs.
“The benchmark was an important step for K12 Enterprise and its loyal North Carolina clients,” Fass said, “but now we are now ready to concentrate on our pilot projects and show how successful K12 Enterprise can be in serving North Carolina schools.”
