RICHMOND, VA (November 22, 2016) – K12 Enterprise, Microsoft’s leading enterprise-grade financial and human resource management software for K-12 school systems, held its annual SunPac-K12 Enterprise User Conference in Durham, North Carolina, November 8-10.
The event took place at the Sheraton Imperial in Durham. Approximately 150 customers from nearly 50 North Carolina Local Education Agencies (LEAs) attended for the role-specific training and networking opportunities.
Subject matter experts from Sessions & Carver, Cook Consulting, Mark Knuckles Associates, CPITSI2, and the North Carolina Retirement Systems Employer Team presented sessions for the school finance, payroll, and HR managers in attendance. In addition, a host of K12 Enterprise customers contributed their expertise to the roster of sessions, including representatives from Gates, Montgomery, New Hanover, Pitt, Rockingham, and Scotland County Schools.
Here’s a sampling of attendee feedback:
“This is my first conference. It was very well planned and inviting – it was nice to have all levels of experience in the classes – giving ability to ask all levels of questions and learn from others.”
“Loved classes taught by other districts because it helps us relate. The variety of classes was very helpful.”
“Overall the conference was phenomenal…it had many great sessions to help me perform my job better. I have learned a lot in these 3 days, and I am looking forward to next year.”
“I really enjoyed the user presentations. I felt that this led to more conversations than would have normally taken place. It is always good to hear how other units are handling common issues.”
“Enjoyed picking up tips and learning new things in each session, getting to talk to other LEAs. And winning a gift card was the icing on the cake! Thanks!”
“Overall, great conference. Lots of valuable information was received. I love to be in classes where questions are asked by everyone – most of the time it applies in some way to everyone in the class.”
“Just want to express my many thanks to you all for a job well done. For this was my first training and I am taking with me a lot of valuable information that will make my job better. Continue to do the trainings for they are very beneficial to us all in the finance world of a school system.”
