K12 Enterprise is an award-winning Microsoft development and consulting services partner specializing in financial and cafeteria management solutions for K-12 school systems. Our core mission is to help school districts manage resources effectively by offering flexible and proven financial and human resources management solutions specifically designed for K-12 business. Our team has been deploying solutions throughout the nation for over 30 years.
K12 Enterprise was formed in 2009 by Andrew and Jeremy Fass, the principals of AVF Consulting, Inc. Established in 1986, AVF is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner specializing in the sale, consulting, and support of one of the world’s leading accounting and business management systems, Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
In 2005, AVF demonstrated the system to Owen J. Roberts School District (OJR) in Pennsylvania. Even though NAV was lacking the K-12 specific functionality that the district needed, they were confident that AVF could build the reporting, HR, and payroll features that would serve all their needs. By 2007, AVF had enhanced the product to fully address the core requirements of OJR and several other Pennsylvania school districts. In 2009, the K-12 Dynamics solution was branded under the trademark K12 Enterprise and a separate company was established called K12 Enterprise, LLC.
Microsoft selected K12 Enterprise as a finalist for the Education Partner of the Year in 2010. The annual program recognizes Microsoft partners who have exhibited excellence in providing innovative and unique solutions based on Microsoft technology. Award recipients are chosen from a pool of 3,000 entrants worldwide.
In March of 2012, K12 Enterprise acquired Sartox, LLC, a Virginia-based software firm specializing in business solutions for K-12 public schools. Sartox served more than 50 percent of the school systems in North Carolina, as well as customers in Virginia. The acquisition gave K12 Enterprise access to Sartox’s strong and loyal customer base, as well as the software company’s experienced personnel and resources, enabling faster development and expansion of products.
In early 2016 K12 Enterprise joined forces with three other companies to form The Jitasa Group. The name Jitasa (ji-tah-suh) means “The Spirit of Serving Others,” and it was our shared passion for partnering with nonprofits and the public sector that brought us together.
Jitasa is a Certified B Corporation, which means we commit to meeting higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. This certification requires us to go above and beyond a traditional corporation. It also provides an official third party process to ensure we stay true to our values as we grow. Our B Certification means we agree to consider the impact of our day-to-day business decisions on not only our customers and investors, but also on our employees, suppliers, the environment, and the community. SYSTEM FOR SUCCESS
Because we leverage Microsoft Dynamics NAV, one of the most widely used accounting and business management systems in the world, we can deliver a superior product supported by the largest software development company in the world. No other software vendor in the K-12 market is able to deliver a core Microsoft solution like K12 Enterprise.
We provide a personal approach that ensures that every client receives the individual attention they deserve. We define “successful” as a project that is 1) within budget estimates, 2) implemented in the time frame expected, and 3) delivered with the functionality expected. Our deployment methodology is segmented into four major phases: Sales, Discovery, Build, and Deploy. Each phase is well documented, follows a proven sequence of tasks and includes repetitive check points to ensure that the project is on track, exceeds expectations, and eliminates surprises. Refined over the past 30 years, our product development and implementation methodology enables us to better align with our clients and encourages a productive relationship with positive outcomes.
